Champagne is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, & Pinot Meunier. Both the Brut & Rose are dry. Moscato d'Asti is a sweet Italian sparkling wine. Burgundy whites are made from Chardonnay grapes exhibiting dry, flinty, classic Chablis characteristics; pairs well with fish, white meats, & salads. Sauv. Blanc is a crisp, light white wine with grassy, apple, citrus & herbal notes, pairs well with thick sauces, stews, light herbal &/or tangy foods, or grilled poultry. Gewürztraminers have aromas of lychee, flowers & spice. Rieslings have floral, citrus, honey, apricot, and peach. Both have dry & sweet styles (sweet styles listed here). Balances well with bitter foods &/or spicy foods, also complements fruity dishes. Chenin Blanc has high acidity with red apples & melon notes. Viognier typically has a floral nose, low to medium acidity, & a rich, round mouthfeel. Typically a rich white wine with characteristics including tropical fruit, vanilla & oak flavors; although can vary greatly. Chardonnay pairs great with lobster, crab, & medium-bodied foods with rich sauces. Bordeaux is red blend created with Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with Cabernet Franc & Merlot. light in flavor with blackberry, black fruit, wood, & other notes.
